Sharpe earns promotion in Air National Guard

Senior Airman Kayla Sharpe

Kayla R. Sharpe has been promoted to the rank of senior airman in the Air National Guard, a reserve component of the U.S. Air Force.

She is the daughter of Maria Jacobs and stepdaughter of Horace Jacobs, both of Bloomingdale.

Sharpe is a surveillance technician assigned to the 117th Air Control Squadron, Georgia Air National Guard. The new senior airman has served in the military for two years.

Sharpe graduated in 2009 from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Fla.
