Teach Right in Rincon is providing a Community Angel Tree to help underprivileged children in Effingham County.

In coordination with Effingham County School System social workers and counselors, toys will be distributed to families who have been identified as needing help this Christmas.

Each "angel" on the tree lists the age, gender and school of a local child in need. Anyone is welcome to visit Teach Right at 586 S. Columbia Ave. and select one or more angels from the tree.

"I wanted to do something that would help locally," said Teach Right owner Marian Hodge.

The angel tree will be up through Dec. 11. The gifts will be delivered to local schools on Dec. 13 to be distributed to local families.

People who select an "angel" can purchase a new toy at Teach Right, or buy a gift elsewhere and drop it off at Teach Right by Dec. 11.
