Josh Reddick (Oakland Athletics) — Reddick is off to a slow start, going 2 for his first 20 with two runs scored.
JB Wendelken (Winston-Salem Dash) — The right-hander got the start Thursday for the high Single-A White Sox affiliate, striking out three and walking two as he gave up two earned runs on four hits in five innings.

Baseball
Jesse Whaley (Andrew College) — Whaley has pitched in seven games for the Tigers, going 0-2 with 13 earned runs on 10 walks and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings while striking out four.
Andrew Martin (East Georgia State College) — Martin is 2-1, allowing seven earned runs on 20 hits and six walks while striking out three in 14 innings for the Bobcats (8-22).
Kyle Ward (Georgia College and State University) — Ward (1-0) has appeared in eight games for the No. 6-ranked Bobcats, who are 25-6. Ward has struck out 14 and walked three while allowing 10 earned runs on 22 hits in 15 innings.
Alec Arnsdorff (Georgia Highlands College) — Arnsdorff, a freshman catcher, has played in 10 games and is 2-for-14 with one run scored and two RBIs for the Chargers.
Ryan Frederick (GSU) — Frederick is 3-0 in five starts for the Eagles, giving up 10 runs on 30 hits and 11 walks in 27 2/3 innings. He has struck out 23 and has an earned run average of 3.25.
Eric Knox (Georgia Tech) — Knox, a freshman outfielder for the Yellow Jackets, is 2-for-6 with one double, one RBI and one run scored in five games.
Dylan Griffin (Georgia Southwestern State University) — A freshman catcher, Griffin is 10-for-39 (.256) with six RBIs for the Hurricanes.
Zack Smith (Georgia Southwestern State University) — Smith is 2-3 in 11 games, allowing 23 earned runs in 38 innings. He has walked 17 and struck out 31.
Spencer Harvey (Middle Georgia State College) — Harvey is 15-for-67 with three doubles and nine RBIs in 18 games for the Knights, who are 26-8.
Steven Vaughn (Missouri Southern State University) — A senior, Vaughn has appeared in 20 games and has registered five saves. He is 1-2 with a 2.10 ERA, having allowed seven earned runs on 16 hits in 30 innings. He has walked nine and struck out 29.
Austin Denney (Savannah State University) — Denney is 3-2 with an ERA of 3.20 for the Tigers. In nine games, he has allowed 16 earned runs on 40 hits and 16 walks in 45 innings. He has 28 strikeouts.
Aaron Hoffer (SSU) — Hoffer is hitting .226 with one homer, four doubles and 11 RBIs.

Alexis Mercer (Armstrong Atlantic State University) — Mercer hit her 17th homer of the season Saturday, setting a new single-season mark for the No. 4-ranked Pirates (26-10). Mercer is hitting .446 with a team-high 38 RBIs, 42 runs and 12 doubles.
Courtney Jenkins (East Georgia State College) — The sophomore is 5-4 with an ERA of 2.56, striking out 48 while allowing 25 earned runs on 68 hits and 26 walks in 68 1/3 innings. She is also 19-of-56 at the plate with one homer, four doubles and nine RBIs.
Maddie Evans (Reinhardt University) — Evans is 3-for-14 with three runs scored and three RBIs in 14 games for the Eagles (35-8).
Katie Rietkovich (Reinhardt University) — Rietkovich is hitting .314 with 13 home runs, four doubles, one triple and 34 RBIs for the Eagles.
Shelby Zipperer (University of South Carolina-Beaufort) — Zipperer, a junior outfielder, is hitting. 272 with three doubles, five homers and 16 RBIs for the Sand Sharks (27-5).
