Information for parents about the film "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes":

Violence: Apes are hunting deer. An ape is attacked by a bear. One ape fights another for dominance. Weapons are used against man and ape. Humans and apes do not get along and threaten war against each other. Once war does start, the battle scenes are intense. Humans and apes die. Humans are placed into cages. An ape fools two humans and shoots them to get their gun. A human wounds an ape by shooting him. An ape throws his son off a balcony after he disobeys his orders.

Language: Not much in the way of profanity but some harsh words are used, including the F-word.

Gore: Some injuries are shown with blood. A virus (simian flu) decimates the population of the earth.
