Faith Equestrian receives 2017 President's Award at LDSS Night of Champions

Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center in Guyton was recognized by the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society at their “Night of Champions” on May 11.

Over 600 attended this event celebrating those with different abilities at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in historic Savannah.

Candy Borgardus, President of the LDSS, presented Bonnie Rachael, Founder and CEO of Faith Equestrian with the 2017 President’s Award. 

Faith Equestrian began in 2006 with two students. It now serves approximately 100 students, which includes five schools in Effingham County.

The center has 12 horses, two miniature ponies, a donkey, and numerous other animals for everyone’s enjoyment.

It offers two primary programs: the therapeutic riding program - which has shown improvement in the rider’s core strength, balance, agility and self confidence - as well as the Equine Facilitated Leaning Program.

Faith’s mission is to improve the lives of individuals with different abilities through the power of the horse.  

Faith Equestrian is a 501C3 non-profit and relies on donations for its continued  operations .
