RINCON -- Ken Lee didn't have much time to bask in the glow of his latest election.

Re-elected Tuesday to a fourth term as Rincon's mayor, Lee attended a Coastal Regional Commission meeting early Wednesday morning in Richmond Hill. The regional commission is a planning and development agency that serves 10 counties and 35 cities.

"I was right back in the saddle," Lee said Wednesday evening. "You have all these associated responsibilities and they go along with the job, in addition to what you have in the city."

Lee retained Rincon's mayoral post by turning back the challenge of Christi Ricker, a member of the Rincon City Council. He received 311 votes. She got 278.

"I am very, very proud that the citizens have allowed me to continue to serve them," Lee said. "I am very proud of what we have done the last 12 years and I look forward to continuing that. I want to be able to continue to build on what we've done to this point.
"It's an honor to be selected again and I hope and pray that I will do everything over the next four years to the satisfaction of the people I serve."
