SAVANNAH — The Grand Bohemian Gallery at the AAA Four-Diamond Mansion on Forsyth Park, a Kessler Collection luxury property, proudly announces a unique opportunity for patrons to meet one of the foremost painters of American Realism,  world-renowned wine artist Thomas Arvid.

Open to the public, the event gives visitors a chance to collect his new and rare works at the hotel’s Grand Bohemian Gallery.

The intimate wine event is being held Nov. 6 at the Grand Bohemian Gallery at the Mansion on Forsyth Park.  Arvid will be showcasing rare and sold-out additions of his works that are available for sale.

The event will begin with a public artist reception from 5-6 p.m., followed by a private wine dinner from 6-8 p.m. available by reservation only.  The dinner will include a gourmet four-course dinner with wine pairings and will cost $99 per person.  Reservations can be made by calling (912) 721-5007.

“We are thrilled to have established such a wonderful relationship with someone as talented as Thomas Arvid,” said Vanessa Hall, corporate director of Art Galleries of the Kessler Collection. “The opportunity for people to be able to spend time amongst such great company and so many new and exclusive pieces of art paired with exemplary wine is truly a rare one.”

About the Artist

The magic of his painting is in Arvid’s ability to visualize and chronicle an entire scene beyond the frame — to tell a story of enjoyment and the good life — using lush color and adroit composition. Arvid is passionate about art and wine, a collector of both, he strives to capture the pleasure of a life well lived on each canvas. The self-taught artist insists that wine should be approachable; his paintings are an embodiment of the casual way wine is enjoyed today.

He is an appealing role model for a lifestyle of easy elegance and unpretentious charm.

Arvid was named one of the “Top 25 Artists You Should Know” by U.S. Art Magazine and has emerged as one of the foremost painters of American Realism. The Grand Bohemian Gallery proudly features Arvid’s work throughout the U.S.
