Trailer fire leaves family homeless

A trailer fire early Saturday morning left a local family of three in need of assistance. According to the Red Cross, the fire happened about 3 or 3:30 Saturday morning on George Hurst Road. Although the home was totally destroyed, nobody was hurt in the incident.

The Red Cross responded and has provided some assistance to the family and 1st Baptist Church of Springfield has put out a call for clothing and other assistance to its church family.
