Gov. Nathan Deal, the Georgia Ports Authority, Murray County and CSX Transportation signed a memorandum of agreement Tuesday to establish the Appalachian Regional Port in Chatsworth. Its service area will include North Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and parts of Kentucky.
