‘Girls Night Out’ to help ease stress

The joy of the holiday season can sometimes be marred by the stress of a long holiday to do list. This stress can take a toll on your everyday health and even have an impact on your heart. Effingham Hospital wants women to remember they are "Too Blessed to be Stressed" and November's Girls Night Out, held on a special date, will focus on this mantra.

Georgia Farm Bureau accepting hay contest entries

MACON-Georgia Farm Bureau members who grow Bermudagrass hay are encouraged to enter the GFB 2011 Quality Hay Contest. Hay entered in the contest will be tested at the University of Georgia Testing Lab using the Relative Forage Quality (RFQ) Test, which predicts fiber digestibility and likely animal intake of hay.
