Members of the Historic Effingham Society and Daughters of the Confederacy Effingham Hussars No. 2285 cleaned the Burgstiner Cemetery to remember the Confederate and Revolutionary soldiers buried there.
Effingham County Recreation and Parks held its annual Easter Egg hunt, with more than 170 children participating. Kids in groups with ages up to 6 years old and from 7-12 and those with special needs found more than 3,800 eggs. The Easter Bunny also was in attendance and there were inflatables, food and goody bags. Each child also had a picture with the Easter Bunny.

SAVANNAH-A crowd of 300 gathered in the Eckburg Auditorium on the campus of Savannah Technical College on Friday to celebrate the 2016 Tribute to Community STARS luncheon, the 10th annual event recognizing people for their service and dedication in the community or at work.
