Butch Kieffer and Gussie Nease shared with the Effingham Rotary Sunrise Club, their passion for the Springfield Revitalization Corporation project to restore the Mars Theatre in downtown Springfield. Work has begun but community involvement will be required to bring the historic building back to its past glory. The vision goes beyond restoration to providing a venue for cultural entertainment for Effingham County.
