ATLANTA - As school systems across Georgia begin the new school year, the Georgia Department of Public Safety says the state's public school buses are ready for their daily tasks as well. The Department's Motor Carrier Compliance Division has completed its annual inspection of buses as required under Georgia law.

ATLANTA - Georgia shoppers will be able to purchase certain clothing items, schools supplies, computers and computer accessories without paying state and local sales tax during the state's seventh annual tax-free holiday, which begins at 12:01 a.m. July 31 and continues until midnight Aug. 3.

SAVANNAH - The Savannah Technical College Adult Education program, currently housed at the Richard Arnold facility, will be relocated during August to the college's Savannah Campus at 5717 White Bluff Rd. The Adult Education program offers general education development classes, testing and English as a second language (ESL) courses.
