ECHS students tour Europe

Twenty-three students and five chaperones traveled to Europe on May 22 as part of an educational tour. The group toured London, Paris, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Sorrento and Capri while in Europe.

Covenant Christian Academy surpasses local, national ITBS average scores

Covenant Christian Academy (CCA) surpassed both local and national averages on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) scores for 2006-2007. CCA administered the ITBS to students in grades K-7th in April. Effingham County public schools administered the test to students in grades 3, 5, and 8 in October 2006. Core subjects tested include reading, math and language arts. The summary of scores by grade level and average national percentile rank is as follows:

Drevlow named to Piedmont dean’s list

Lindsay Drevlow of Rincon has been named to the dean's list at Piedmont College for the recently completed spring semester. Students named to the dean's list for the semester have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99 out of a possible 4.0.
