ECHS teacher of the month

The Effingham County High School teacher of the month for February is Michelle Drayton. Drayton teaches Honors Economics, U.S. History and Sociology. She sponsors the Future Georgia Educators Club as well as Grad Bash. Students nominated Drayton because they feel she treats her students with respect, fairness, and kindness. In addition, students highlighted Drayton's constant positive attitude and her ability to make learning fun.

See You At The Pole

"Converge" was the 2011 See You at the Pole theme held Sept. 28. More than 70 students attended the event at South Effingham Middle School. Supported by students, friends, family, and staff members the SEMS SYATP Leadership Team hosted the event. The leadership committee provided free doughnuts and gave out See You at the Pole Bracelets provided by the SEMS Y-Club to all attendees.
