Georgia Tech announces spring dean’s list

ATLANTA-The following students have earned the distinction of dean's list at the Georgia Institute of Technology for spring 2016. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Local students make dean’s list at VSU

VALDOSTA-Valdosta State University announced its spring 2016 dean's list. Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.0 or higher are recognized by being placed on the dean's list.

Teen Leader training at 4-H

4-H Teen Leaders serve as mentors and are positive role models for younger 4-H members. By participating in the Georgia 4-H Certified Teen Leader Training, 4-H'ers began their journey as a teen leader for Effingham 4-H. 4-H'ers participated in interactive hands-on sessions and learned the in's and out's of being an "official" Georgia 4-H Certified Teen Leader. Participants receiving their certifications were: Zaniya Brown, Justin Hayes, Marina Herten, Emily Jarriel, Payton Mercer, Owen Mercer, Ben Mincey, Laura Grace Molina, Macy Morgan, Skylar Morgan, April Moss, Reese Powell, Luke Roe, Emilie Rowland, and Jordyn Serrano.
