High fashion hits SEHS

Forget Paris and New York, fashion has hit Effingham. Saturday, eight student designers and their models did their little turns on the catwalk at South Effingham High's 4th annual Fashion Show, themed "Dusk to Dawn." Either alone or in teams, these designers worked outside of school since September to create clothing in three categories: "Plant Life," "Different….But the Same" and "Go Green!" Effingham students attend annual RYLA

Claxton awarded Plum Creek scholarship

Plum Creek has awarded a $2,000 scholarship to an Effingham County high school graduate. Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, involvement in school and community activities, and overall achievement throughout their high school careers. William Claxton is the recipient for Effingham County.
