Claxton awarded Plum Creek scholarship
Plum Creek has awarded a $2,000 scholarship to an Effingham County high school graduate. Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, involvement in school and community activities, and overall achievement throughout their high school careers. University System boasts $12.6B impact
Even during tough economic conditions Georgia's public university system remains a powerful economic engine for the state as chronicled in a newly released report. The Selig Center for Economic Growth in the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business found that the University System of Georgia had a $12.6 billion economic impact on the state's economy during Fiscal Year 2010.
