Savannah Tech to host Kia recruiters

SAVANNAH - Savannah Technical College will host guests from Kia on Feb. 6 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. as a part of the auto company's state-wide recruitment efforts as it prepares to open its manufacturing facility in West Point. Officials are interested in recruiting technically-trained graduates to work at the facility and are visiting each of the state's technical colleges to meet with students who may be interested in pursuing careers with the automaker.

At Christmas, Rincon Elementary had the privilege of making Christmas cards for Senior Master Sgt. Walters who was serving in Iraq. His wife Pat is a fourth grade teacher at the school. He came to tell the students how much the cards meant to him while he was away from home. He patiently answered many questions from the boys and girls.
