Anderson receives scholarship from Citizens Bank

Ian Anderson was the recipient this year of the Citizens Bank of Effingham Scholarship Fund. This scholarship, in the amount of $1,000 was awarded to one student in the county who excelled academically and showed leadership qualities through their volunteer work in their community and church.

Georgia Southern University students from your area have been named to the president's list for the spring 2008 term. These students have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credit hours for the semester.

VSU announces dean’s list

The following area students have been named to the spring 2008 dean's list at Valdosta State University in Valdosta. To make the dean's list, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and must have a semester grade point average of at least 3.66 with at least 10 hours of course work. Grade point averages are based on a 4.0 scale.
