4-H’ers get into the swim of things at Camp Rock Eagle

Last month, Effingham County 4-H carried teen leaders Ben Snooks, Ken Mosely, Tiffany Cannaday and Courtney Aliffi, adult volunteers Lawanda Adkins, Jo Crosby, Vicki Arnette, Sharon Alexander, Ella Smith, Karen Aliffi, Katheryn Mack and Doug Saxon, county agents Bill Tyson and Jan Hall, along with 4-H program assistant Connie Heidt, and more than 130 fifth and sixth grade 4-H'ers to Rock Eagle in Eatonton.

Lang, Wostbrock earn dean's list honors at Berry

Berry College students who excelled in the classroom during the spring semester have been named to the dean's list, according to Berry Provost Thomas E. Dasher. The dean's list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

South Effingham FCCLA chapter holds awards banquet

The South Effingham High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America celebrated another successful year as they hosted their annual awards banquet with more than 80 people in attendance. Entertainment was provided by singer Jabari Rushin and by dancers Sapri Shorey, Ronnetta Brown and Lateva and Zakiya Rushin. Hillary Driggers provided a power point as a way of reviewing the club's achievements and activities.
