STATESBORO - Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,149 students for excellence in academics on the 2013 fall semester president's list. To be eligible for the president's list, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade-point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern University recently recognized 2,646 students for excellence in academics on the 2013 fall semester dean's list. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
The following students have been named to Berry College's spring 2015 dean's list, according to Provost Kathy Richardson. The dean's list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.
The Armstrong Alumni Center will host an open house party for all former Armstrong students on June 5 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Burnett Hall. The Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. in Jenkins Theater on the same evening.
Mark Blankenship Jr. of Rincon was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Blankenship was initiated at Georgia Southern University.
