The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp Davis, won first place in the Rincon Fourth of July Parade on Friday.
The Ebenezer Rifles stopped and fired their weapons several times during the procession.

Second place went to the First Baptist Church of Rincon for its “Freedom Flight” float. The float was designed to remember those serving in the armed forces and those who are still missing in action.

The black butterfly represented the MIAs and the two large yellow butterflies represented those serving overseas. FBC Rincon kids hand printed the cube and chose to honor Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration of Independence, the Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Bell.
