Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davis of Clyo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shawna D. Davis to Jeffrey L. Hardin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard T. Hardin of Springfield.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Steed and Mrs. Mary Ann Davis of Clyo and the late Mr. Edwin Davis. Jeffrey is the grandson of Mrs. Virginia G. Usher of Springfield and the late Lawrence B. Usher, and the late Ollie and Edith Hardin.

She is a graduate of Effingham County High School and is employed as a lab assistant with the City of Pooler.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Effingham County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Georgia Southern University majoring in engineering technology. He is the owner/operator of HARCO Construction.

The wedding is planned for July 25, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Springfield at 4 p.m. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend.
