The fifth grade class at Effingham Christian School recently presented a drama depicting the controversy which sparked the formation of the Lutheran Church and enflamed the fire of the Protestant Reformation in Europe in the 1500s.

Set on Oct. 31, 1517, the play highlighted Martin Luther's (to the left of Emperor Charles V) nailing his 95 theses challenging the Roman Catholic Church of his day to reform certain unbiblical church doctrines and practices, and his translating of the Latin Vulgate into the language of the people, German.

Effingham Christian School’s classical Christian program is performed daily at 226 Goshen Rd. at the home of Ephesus Church.
