For the season, the left-handed hitting outfielder is batting .260 with nine home runs and 15 RBIs and his OPS is .855. He also has 11 doubles and one triple, and he is hitting .305 against right-handed pitching.

Senators back hunting on public lands

Campers ended their four days just before the weekend heat wave set in, but the sliding drills were a welcome cool respite anyway.

State opens its 10th public fishing area
Anglers’ high hopes for more fishing opportunities in Houston County become reality on June 5 as Gov. Sonny Perdue and other state and local officials welcomed the first visitors to the grand opening of the Flat Creek Public Fishing Area (PFA) located near Perry.
