Rincon Garden Club member wins Best in Show

POSTED: May 4, 2017 3:56 p.m.

The Rincon Garden Club recently attended the Olde Effingham Day flower show, Eighty Years in Bloom, on April 22.

Sponsored by the Springfield and Rincon Garden Clubs and held at the Living History Site in Springfield, members entered many plants and flower arrangements.

Rincon Garden Club member, Kay Jones, won Best in Show with her entry in the Design Division.

Jones’ entry clearly represented the theme of Southern Memories in the Design Division.

Other members of the Rincon Club were awarded first-place ribbons in the Design Division.

There were several ribbons awarded to members in the Agriculture Division theme of Growth in Abundance, along with several second-place ribbons and two Merit ribbons.
