Area residents, visitors flocking to Georgia Visitor Information Center

PORT WENTWORTH  -- Hundreds of Coastal Empire residents and travelers visited the new Georgia Vistori Information Center on I-95 by mid-morning Friday during Georgia On My Mind Day.

 The event, which runs until 2 p.m. Friday, allows local communities and tourism partners to showcase their destinations. Numerous Georgia-made goodies are available for sampling.

 Participating vendors include the Port Wentworth Chamber of Commerce, Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, Dickies BBQ, Visit Savannah, Leopold's Ice Cream, Old Savannah Tours, Old Town Trolley, Segway of Savannah, River Street Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Savannah Prohibition Museum, Telfair Museum, Visit Tybee, Golden Isles CVB, Okeefenokee Wildlife Refuge, St. Mary's CVB  and many more.
