Effingham County High School is wild about writing. In preparation for the Georgia High School Writing Test today, students in the language and Family and Consumer Sciences departments have teamed up to decorate.

The entire language hall is decorated in the jungle theme. Language students and their teacher, Katie Ward, and Bonnie Pritcher’s Early Childhood Education classes worked toward this festive approach to this serious event.

There are jungle animals and scenes with writing tips decorating the classroom doors, giant trees and vines throughout the hall, and monkeys with suggestions for effective writing hanging from the ceiling.

Since not all of the students who will be taking the test are currently in a language class, there are student-made “pencils” in the main hallway with encouraging phrases on them.
