When the Air Force Academy Band called the Air Force JROTC at Effingham County High School for help, the cadets were more than willing to assist. 

They not only served as ushers for the concert at the Savannah Civic Center, they also presented the colors at the start of the two hour event. 

An estimated crowd of more than 1000 people from the local area heard a very patriotic and entertaining show, featuring the big band era of the 1930s and ’40s. 

Almost 40 cadets attended and enjoyed the music, taking the opportunity to talk to several of the musicians at the end of the show.
