Two Effingham County students were named to the University of Georgia presidential scholar list for fall semester 2013.
To be a presidential scholar, students must have a 4.0 grade-point average and take at least 14 hours of classes. They are:
Mallory Ann Burke of Springfield, a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences
David Randall Stapleton Jr. of Guyton, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences
The following students were named to the dean’s list for the semester. To earn the distinction, they must have a 3.5 GPA and carry 14 hours of classes.
