Parent University-Effingham received a $500 grant from Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Effingham County.

Parent University, held free of charge three times a year, is a partnership between the Springfield Central High School Association and Effingham County School System to promote parental involvement in education.

The courses cover a range of subjects, including family literacy, social media safety, CPR certification, financial aid for college, the dangers of bullying, managing a child’s behavior positively, and preparing students for jobs and careers.

The spring session of Parent University will be on April 5 at Effingham County Middle School.
