Effingham Theatre performed “A Streetcar Named Desire” Aug. 19, 20, 26 and 27 at the Guyton Civic Center. The play was Effingham Theatre’s 2011 Guest Director Series and was directed by King Middleton of Rincon.

A portion of the proceeds from these main stage shows was donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Effingham Theatre’s next activities will be its Sherlock Holmes Mystery Dinner Theatre at Kelly’s Tavern in September, October and in November. The next main stage show for the troupe will be “Beauty and the Beast” in November.
