Mr. and Mrs. Austin N. Exley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15, 2011, with a special evening out with their children and grandchildren.

Austin and Ann were married on Dec. 15, 1961, at Port Wentworth Methodist Church.  The late Rev. Arthur Pilgrim performed the ceremony.

Austin and Ann are the proud parents of Craig Exley (Melanie), Stacy Mitchell (Jimmy), and Corey Exley (Christina). They have also been blessed with six wonderful grandchildren, Camela and Emily Exley, Dalton and Ansley Mitchell, and Caitlin and Cailey Exley.

Ann is the former Ms. Ann F. Lively of Port Wentworth. She is the daughter of the Mrs. Sadie Lively and the late Mr. Charles E. Lively Sr. She is a homemaker and very involved grandmother.

Austin is a retired maintenance and repair manager from Bell South in Savannah and avid outdoorsman and gardener. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mark A. Exley of Rincon.

The Exleys are looking forward to enjoying many more happy years together and spending time with friends and family.
