Mr. and Mrs. Loren Mark Exley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 7, 2008.

They were married in a ceremony in Allendale, S.C., on March 7, 1958. Judge Carroll Reeves officiated.

The couple have four children, Derrick Exley of Springfield, Robbin Exley Hackett of Ponte Verde Beach, Fla., Connie Exley of Rincon, and Penny Exley Reese of Guyton.

They have seven grandchildren, Brandon Reese, Codie Reese, Holli Reese, Reed Clifton, Jacob Hackett, Dylan Hackett and Audrey Hackett. They also have a step-granddaughter, Casey Clifton Mccorkle.

In celebration of their 50th anniversary, the couple enjoyed dinner and an evening out with their children and grandchildren. The couple also took a seven day cruise to the Virgin Islands.

Mr. Exley was employed by Union Camp Paper Corp., in Savannah. He retired in September 1998. Mrs. Exley retired in July 1989 while employed by Anthony Crane Rental in Port Wentworth.

The couple has lived in Rincon for the past 50 years and is charter members of the Rincon United Methodist Church.
