Heyward and Geneva Johnson will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 19 at 6:30 p.m. The celebration will be held at the Warner, Young, Goldwire Center in Clyo.  

Heyward is the youngest son of the late Evan and Mabel Johnson Sr. He retired in 1996 from Hercules Inc. in Savannah after working there for 28 years.

Geneva is the daughter of the late Frank and Essie Mae Pinkney Sr. and the late Chester Cohen. She retired from Effingham County Board of Education in 2004 after working with them for 31 years.

To their wonderful union they were blessed with four beautiful daughters; Vivian (Jake) Holmes, Cynthia (James) Housey, Linda (Charles) Badger and Theresa (Eric) Stephens; eight granddaughters; five grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

In addition to their family, the have two lovely adopted daughters, Lillie (Henry) Gregley and Annie Jennings; one adopted son, Amos (Eula) Floyd; six adopted grandsons; seven adopted granddaughters; and one adopted great-granddaughter (Nami).

All family and friends are invited to attend this special occasion.
