Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Morris, Jr. celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23, 2011.

Joe and Linda were married in Oct. 1961 in Ridgeland, S.C. The couple lived in Savannah for 38 years. They currently reside in Guyton.

For many years, they enjoyed traveling with the Alee Temple Shriners, where Joe is a member of the Pirate unit. Joe retired in 2001 from International Paper after 42 years of service. Linda retired in September from Memorial University Medical Center after 22 years of service.

They have two children and one daughter-in-law, Sherri Morris Johnson; and Jesse Morris and his wife Trisha Lutz Morris. They are the proud grandparents of three granddaughters, Taylor, Morgan and Reagan Johnson and two grandsons, Joseph and Matthew Morris.
