Patsy (Kessler) and Charles R. Wilson

Charles R. and Patsy (Kessler) Wilson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 14, 2008, with their children and grandchildren.  The couple was married in 1958 at the home of the bride’s parents in Rincon.

Charles is a graduate of Effingham Academy (1950) and later worked for Seaboard Airline, now known as CSX Railroad.  He retired from CSX in 1998 after 43 years. Charles also served in the Army National Guard for 12 years.

Patsy is a graduate of Rincon High School (1956) and spent five years as a telephone operator for Southern Bell, now known as Bell South.  She then became a homemaker and mother of four.

The Wilsons are active members of Savannah Christian and the Savannah Hemerocallis Society.  They enjoy gardening, traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Charles and Patsy are the parents of Celeste (Lee) Cobb, Sonja Michael, Shelby (Debbie) Wilson and Stephanie (Chuck) LeFrancois.  They are the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren.  Their entire family will join them in a special three day anniversary celebration throughout the Thanksgiving holidays.
