5.29 Donald Hanberry

The Rev. Donald E. Hanberry, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry T. Hanberry, was ordained into the Lutheran ministry on June 1, 1958, at Wingard Memorial Lutheran Church of Clyo.

He is married to the former Miss Jan Arnsdorff of Springfield. They have four children, Candace H. Rausch, Andrew, Randall and Sandford Hanberry; eight grandchildren, David, Daniel and Diana Rausch, Nicholas, Mackenzie and Madison Hanberry, and Alexander and Natalie Hanberry.

Pastor Hanberry has served churches in S.C., Ga., N.C., Miss. and Tenn. Those in this area were Good Shepherd, Garden City; St. Paul’s Savannah; and Redeemer, Wilmington Island.

Presently he is pastor/developer of Nativity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. A reception is planned for June 1, following the 10 a.m. service. The church is located at 799 Christmas Ave.
