International Worship Center Ministries Inc., and Covenant Christian Academy announced today that the two have formed a unique collaboration, whereby CCA will begin its winter 2011 academic calendar on the main campus of IWC, located at 6924 Highway 17 in Bloomingdale.
Co-founder and headmaster Martin L. Wilkins will continue to serve as the CFO and advisory board chair of CCA.
“We are honored to have Covenant Christian Academy coming into Biblical covenant with IWC,” said Bishop Eddie Tomberlin, senior pastor of IWC.
“CCA has a dedicated group of teachers with a core Christian vision. That vision combined with our resource center will position them to serve the growing educational needs of the surrounding community.”
“Our two organizations are highly complementary,” Wilkins said. “We both are generational, where our sacrifices are for the betterment of the coming generation. And we both love Jesus.”
Under the terms of the cooperation, CCA began offering immediately their winter 2011 academic curriculum.
Both Bishop Tomberlin and Headmaster Wilkins agree, “Supporting education, be it in our public schools or in a private Christian academy, is key to breaking down barriers in our community.”
