Faith Baptist Church of Guyton will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this September and will celebrate on Sunday, Sept. 11.

The theme for the day is “United We Stand” as Faith Baptist wants to be united in spirit, prayer, love and fellowship along with united in God.

The day of celebration is also Patriot Day and members of the church will be collecting water and various snacks to give out to the Effingham County Sheriff Department.

Dr. Calvin Bradley – who has been with Faith Baptist for all 30 years – came to Effingham County with a desire to start a church that would love Jesus, serve the community and grow the faith.

Along with this day, the trustees of Faith will have the opportunity to burn the Property and Building note from the bank.

Faith members are looking forward to this day and would like to invite the public to join in their special day.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. with morning worship beginning at 10:30 a.m. Following worship, there will be a potluck dinner.

The Rev. Johnny King, of South Carolina, will be preaching for the day. The church is located at 1951 Highway 119 South in Guyton.
