FBC Springfield presents worship musical Sunday

The First Baptist Church of Springfield will be presenting a worship celebration entitled “I Will Rise” on Sunday at 6 p.m. The celebration will be led by an 80-voice choir including adults, students, and children from the church. Personal stories will be shared, during the celebration, of how Jesus Christ has given strength to individuals to overcome the obstacles of life.

From the heart of renowned worship leader and Dove award-winning arranger Gary Rhodes comes this stunning collection of songs that celebrates the power of the resurrected Lord in our lives. Beginning with a rousing invocation that proclaims “Jesus Is Alive!,” the choir and worship leaders will direct the congregation through moments of celebration, reflection, and passionate worship.

Worship standards such as Chris Tomlin’s “I Will Rise” and “How Can I Keep from Singing” blend seamlessly with innovative renditions of “Jesus Paid It All” and “Crown Him With Many Crowns” and dynamic new offerings from Hillsongs (“Stronger”) and Steve Fee (“Glory to God”).

First Baptist Springfield is on Highway 119 North, just outside of the Springfield city limits traveling toward Clyo and South Carolina. For details call 754-3443.
