Rev. Bryan Gilde and his wife Sandra.

First Baptist Church of Rincon has called Rev. Bryan Gilde as its new Minister to Students.

Gilde served as the interim minister to students at First Baptist Church of Rincon this summer and became the permanent minister to students effective Sept. 1. A native of Lake Placid, Fla., Gilde is a graduate of Berry College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to the former Sandra Turner of Powder Springs.

"On my first day back in the office, somebody told me 'welcome home,'” Gilde said. It was the highlight of my day to feel like Rincon and the people of this church body are home for Sandra and myself."

Gilde has a passion for mentoring youth and young adults in one-on-one relationships. He is responsible for overseeing the church's ministry to middle school, high school and college students.

He teaches the Wednesday night youth Bible study and the Thursday night Young Adult worship experience, called "The Body." Both meetings are held in the Youth Center of the church.

For more information on the youth and young adult ministry, call First Baptist Church of Rincon at 826-5536 or check the web page at www.fbcrincon.com.
