The Savannah Riverfront’s Fourth of July Festival will have River Street’s largest fireworks show, a Burger Battle, and entertainment from eight local bands all weekend long from July 4-7.

Grab your chair (and get there early) to watch the sky light up for the fireworks extravaganza presented by CarMax along with the City of Savannah and Chatham County. Fireworks will take place July 4 from 9:30-10 p.m. Live entertainment will be featured on the Arbor Stage until 11 p.m. following fireworks. The fireworks are presented by CarMax, along with the city of Savannah and Chatham County.

The first Burger Battle will be held Friday from noon-7 p.m. with “Eat It and Like It.” Judging begins at 2:30 p.m. and winners will be announced at 4 p.m. The judges are not the only ones participating in this tasting; you too can challenge your inner foodie by sampling each mouthwatering burger while casting your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Festivities continue on Saturday, kicking off with the Savannah Cornhole and Rock 106.1 cornhole tournament at 11 a.m. Teams can pre-register for this competition online at Rock 106.1.com. The winning team will receive meet-and-greet passes along with tickets to see Trapt at Wild Wing Café on July 8.

Live music will continue throughout the weekend, along with arts and crafts, on Rousakis Plaza. Festival hours are 4-11 p.m. on Thursday, noon-11 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
