Rotary District Governor Clyde Taylor made his official visit to the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club in Guyton on Tuesday. His wife Sue and Area Assistant Governor Jeff Kublin of Effingham County, accompanied Taylor.
In his presentation to the club, Taylor highlighted Rotary International’s work in eradification of polio in the world through a matching challenge grant from Bill Gates and other projects of the Rotary International Foundation. Local Rotarians participate in these efforts through their financial support.
Major local projects for the Sunrise Club are academic scholarships for graduating seniors and mentors and support for the Backpack Program at Guyton Elementary School.
