Linda Herdina, director of the Rotary District 6920 Medical Equipment Transport Service (METS), spoke to Rotarians about this life-saving program. METS has sent approximately $12 million worth of medical equipment and supplies to various countries. Used equipment, such as emergency vehicles, a CAT scanner, wheelchairs, and hospital beds that would otherwise be discarded and end up in our landfills, is recycled, stored in a warehouse in Savannah, and transported by the trailer to areas of great need. If you can contribute in any way to this vital service, contact Herdina at lherdina@rotaryMETS.org.
