Historic Effingham Society will be holding its annual banquet Feb. 3 at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center Great Hall, 2887 Ebenezer Road, Rincon. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with supper served at 6 p.m.
The evening program will honor four members: James Sapp, Libby A. Heidt, Helen G. Gnann and Dr. Franklin Goldwire. New officers will be elected and installed. Awards for Member of the Year, our Preservation Award and the President’s Award will be presented.
The banquet meal is by advance tickets. The $20 tickets can be purchased at Effingham Museum, 1002 N. Pine Street in Springfield, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The mailing address is P O Box 999, Springfield, Georgia 31329. Reserved tickets can be arranged by calling 912-754-2170. All ticket sales end on Monday January 29th at 1:00 p.m.
