The Scott family’s trip to Washington, D.C., as spring break commences in Effingham County may not be like anyone else’s.
The Scotts, Roger Sr., Sonja and their three children, have been extended — and gleefully accepted — an invitation to one of the White House’s most time-honored events, the annual Easter Egg roll. The Easter Egg roll, which was first held in 1878, will take place Monday on the White House South Lawn.
“We got these five wonderful tickets as part of supporting the African-American Experience,” said Sonja Scott.
