Mr. and Mrs. Warren Veber of Springfield are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jerlean Tonette Crawford, to Kristopher Norman Brackbill, son of Mr. Thomas L. Brackbill of Paradise, Pa. and Mrs. Sandra K. Evans of Guyton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jerlean Giles of Springfield and the late Luther Bowlin of Sullivan’s Island, S.C. She is a 1989 graduate of Coral Shores High School in Tavernier, Fla., and is working for an optometrist in Rincon.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morgan Jr. of Guyton. He is a 2000 graduate of Effingham County High School and is employed with Airco Industrial Contractors, Inc.

The wedding will take place at the home of the groom’s mother in Guyton on Saturday, May 1 at 4 p.m. A reception will follow at the Pine Street Baptist Church social hall.
