HOOP DREAMSVILLE — More than enough people spend hours perfecting a seemingly useless skill simply to gain a bit of Internet fame.

But sometimes Internet fame is yours just because you had the camera rolling at the right time. That seems to be the case with this 2013 video, which has just gone viral.

Three men line up to play the traditional basketball arcade game. Nothing special, who cares — right? But if you focus your attention to the left, you’ll see a man killing it, using both hands as if he were born just to play this arcade game.

My mad almost-made-my-high-school-freshman-team basketball skills generally speak for themselves, but I’m lucky to score past the 40s in this game. So as far as I’m concerned, 491 makes this guy the basketball-arcade-games ultimate, supreme champion of the universe.

Perhaps even better than the play or the score is his exit from the scene: no swagger, no braggadocio, just going on with his day like it’s not a big thing, leaving clumsy imitation and amazement in his wake.
