USA Humans are amazing.

I know that a lot of silly tricks gain internet fame, and its harmless to love watching a cat that seems to say I love you or the guy who perfectly executes a killer waterslide trick.

But people like Mandy Harvey a singer who is deaf and auditioned for a popular NBC reality TV show give the internet a different kind of collective warm and tinglies.

Harvey, 29, from St. Cloud, Florida, stood in front of infamous talent curmudgeon Simon Cowell & co. to audition for Americas Got Talent with help from her interpreter, Sarah. The intro leading up to her act is a bit saccharine and overproduced (swelling sad music, anyone?) but Harveys story is pretty incredible, notwithstanding.

Singing since she was 4 years old, Harvey lost her hearing after an illness when she was 18. She took a break from music, but came back to it and decided to audition in front of thousands and become an internet sensation to millions with her original piece of music, Try.

Harvey stood on the stage shoeless (so she could feel the beat) and soon enough, put the audience (and anyone watching the video) in tears. Her signing starts around two minutes in and, trust me, its the best thing youll watch today. As of Thursday, the video has over 7 million views.

Honestly, I never think Im going to be surprised or amazed by people and then you turn up, Cowell said of the performance.

And to that, we can only clap. Or put our hands in the air and gently rotate our palms to sign our applause.
